Goal Setting for 2012

It’s not too late to set your goals for 2012! Yes, we are already 3 days into 2012 (HAPPY NEW YEAR by the way!!) and many people, especially those of us who are “driving our own ship” have set them well in advance of that clock striking 12 on December 31st!

“I love early January. It’s like opening the page to a brand-new notebook. The next year stretches before us … and WE get to decide exactly what we’re going to create. The possibilities are unlimited. To maximize success in 2012, it’s essential to have goals.”
It’s true! Your possibilities ARE endless!! One year ago I was in a dead-end job, unhappy as all get-out (trying not to show it, because I had to make a living) and 40 pounds overweight!! Today my life has COMPLETELY done a 180!! Part of that was The Universe giving me a kick in the pants to get on with life and do my OWN thing, what makes me HAPPY. Once I WAS on my own I started setting goals! Once those goals were achieved I started setting bigger goals! And you know what? With some focus and a LOT of hard work, those goals are also being achieved!!
So, for 2012, you know what I’d doing don’t you?! 
Setting BIGGER goals!! I love the example of when Mr. Canfield was first starting out he had next to nothing … earning about $8,000 per year. He set a goal of earning $100,000 that year! What happened next is now history (the Chicken Soup for the Soul books of course), but that first year he made $97 Thousand Dollars and change!
Setting goals is only one part of the equation, of course the other parts are taking action, staying focused and visualizing your end result, but for today we’ll stick with setting your goals for 2012!
Just so I’m completely transparent here, I’d like to share some of my goals for 2012 with you!
- I am going to help a MINIMUM of 10 people per month accomplish their weight loss goals
- I am going to help 3 people per month get started on a residual income based side business
- I am going to teach social media to businesses in such a way that they want to become involved in it
- I am going to move into a new home (My first on my own!)
- I am planning on 3 trips for 2012, one to a convention in Kansas City, one to Mexico for a very special birthday and one to Europe for Christmas in 2012
These are just a few, and very basic, goals I have for 2012! The rest are pretty personal and VERY detailed, so I don’t need to go into that. But you get the idea! Set your goals, give them as much detail as you can muster, and Get To Work!
